The St George Hospital Graduate Nurses’ Association was established in 1947 with the aim of providing an opportunity for Graduates from the Hospital to come together once a year for a reunion.
The association has flourished over the years and although the format has changed and the hospital is no longer the venue, the group continues to flourish and meets regularly on the 4th Saturday in October for the Annual General Meeting and Luncheon. The committee is elected each year and consists of President, Vice President, Hon Secretary, Hon Treasurer, Reunion Secretary and 3-5 committee members.
Full membership is open to all graduate nurses (General & Midwifery) of the St George Hospital. Associate membership is open to any nurse who has been on the staff of the hospital for more than 2 years.

Benefits of membership
Membership of the Association provides you with the opportunity to catch up with past colleagues and renew friendships. The annual newsletter provides news and information regarding both graduates and the hospital. The Graduate nurses association collected and established a small museum of nursing memorabilia. This collection is housed within the library located in the education and research building in South Street Kogarah.
